Meet Dr. Mitchell Orosz, Chiropractor

A Path That Started on the Court

For Dr. Orosz, it all began with a basketball injury. In Grade 10, he was dealing with an LCL tear, and the chiropractor who cared for him never adjusted him once. He used soft tissue work and acupuncture instead, and before long, Dr. Orosz was back on the court. That experience opened his eyes. Chiropractors could do more than he’d ever realized, and from then on, he knew this was the career for him.

He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at D’Youville University. One memory from clinic rounds has stayed with him. On his very first day, his professor, Dr. Grande, brought him in to help a patient whose low back pain made even getting onto the table a struggle. Watching Dr. Grande create a comforting environment while remaining calm and professional left a lasting impression. Dr. Orosz aims to greet every patient with that same warmth and care.

How He Cares for Patients

Ask him what he loves most about this work and the answer is simple: helping people work towards feeling more like themselves again. Dr. Orosz wants every patient to feel cared for and comfortable from the first visit, with focused, personal attention on their concerns and the activities they want to get back to.

Dr. Orosz is early in his career and determined to keep growing for the people he sees. He’s currently enrolled in the Spring 2027 cohort of Contemporary Medical Acupuncture for Health Professionals through McMaster University, and he’s working to build his skills in areas like joint mobility education.

Outside the Office

Basketball has been a constant for Dr. Orosz. He played for Team Ontario at the U14 and U15 levels, then for Notre Dame College School, finished high school at Holderness School in New Hampshire, and went on to play varsity at the University of Waterloo. Today you’ll find him in a rec league every Wednesday night. He’s also the assistant coach of the Greater Fort Erie Secondary School junior boys basketball team.

When he’s not in the gym, he and his partner are probably at the movies. They catch the newest blockbuster at least once a month.

Through it all, his family has been in his corner. He credits them with the habits and determination that carried him through basketball, school, and now practice.
